Basic Computer Skill Class |
The Basic Computer Literacy course provides a basic introduction to personal computers. This includes PC hardware and software, Microsoft Word, the Internet and Web, and email.
The class is a combination of lecture and hands-on exercises, with the majority of the time spent on hands-on exercises.
Students will create and save a file; enter, edit, format, spell check, and print a letter; create a list and table; search for information on the Internet; create a web based email account, send and receive email.
This is a basic course - no previous experience with computers is required, however, a basic understanding of English is necessary. The course includes 8 classes of 90 minutes each, and is held in the computer lab at the LCFBC office. Class size is limited to 10.
Because this class fills up quickly, please ask us to add your name to our waiting list. If you are not a current student, you will need to fill out the registration forms prior to the start of the course.
