OUR PROGRAMS
At the Literacy Council of Fort Bend County, adults have the opportunity to participate in one or more programs: 

Career Certificate Courses
Basic Literacy
English as a Second Language
High School Equivalency Preparation
U.S. Citizenship Preparation
Basic Computer Skills

DID YOU KNOW?
In 2017:

-1,108 adult students took ESL classes
(English as a Second Language)
-166 adult students participated in the GED
(High School Equivalency course)
-27 adult students participated in one-on-one
reading classes (Adult Basic Education)
-85% of the adult students served are
Fort Bend County residents
-We served 79% Women and
21% Male adult students
-Since 2005, 162 adult students have self-reported completing their GED certificate
-Since 2007, 89 adult students have self-reported passing their US Citizenship exam
