To improve family, community, and professional lives through adult literacy education.

OUR PROGRAMS
At the Literacy Council of Fort Bend County, adults have the opportunity to participate in one or more programs: 

Career Certificate Courses
Basic Literacy
English as a Second Language
High School Equivalency Preparation
U.S. Citizenship Preparation
Basic Computer Skills

DID YOU KNOW?
In 2017:

-1,108 adult students took ESL classes (English as a Second Language)
-166 adult students participated in the GED (High School Equivalency course)
-27 adult students participated in one-on-one reading classes (Adult Basic Education)
-85% of the adult students served are Fort Bend County residents
-We served 79% Women and 21% Male adult students
-Since 2005, 162 adult students have self-reported completing their GED certificate
-Since 2007, 89 adult students have self-reported passing their US Citizenship exam
